- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Unlike most reviewers below, I have actually lived in Gilford and interacted with the police on multiple occasions. They have always been nothing but professional and polite. As for the incident that most are complaining about below, the man who was arrested at the school board meeting was not arrested for speaking his mind, he was arrested because he spoke over other parents, refusing to let them express their opinions and he antagonized a police officer. The Lieutenant approached the man and asked him politely to quiet down. The man responded by telling the Lieutenant that the only way that he would stop interrupting is if he was arrested. The Lieutenant obliged. Looks folks, I'm a card carrying conservative and I share this man's concern about the common core curriculum and the state of public schools in this nation. However, that does not give him the right to silence the voices of other parents or antagonize a police officer. GPD did nothing wrong whatsoever.By George Derderian, September 25, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆What a nightmare. I have a very large check drawn off TD Bank and I needed the funds to be available immediately, so instead of waiting a couple days for the check to clear at my bank(Bank of NH, which is freaking awesome!), I go out of my way to TD Bank at the Gilford NH location. TD then hits me with a $7.00 fee to cash their own check. Then I ask to have a bank check done up so I'm not walking around town with thousands of $$ and again, because I'm not a member, they forced me to take cash. This process took a half hour of my time and $7.00, of which I cannot get either back... If you have TD Bank, SWITCH. If your considering them, DONT. For your sake and everyone that you may ever right a check to. So what happens if someone writes a check for 7.25, you get a quarter back after fee's.By C B, September 13, 2017
